The little Costa Blanca town of Benidorm has the highest number of high-rise buildings per resident worldwide. Not a place to be during the best days of your year, one should think. Befittingly deep black humor prevails in the comedy series "Benidorm". The storyline alternates between different British tourists who are lodged in a holiday complex in the midst of the high-rise maze: A father of a family is driven to madness by his chain-smoking mother-in-law and pregnant underage daughter, an aging swinger couple can't seem to find the right people to swing with, and a young couple is in a constant fight. That's how great your holidays can be.
