“House”, “Boston Legal” and last but not least “CSI” are ubiquitous – one can clearly speak of a recent hausse for the new US series. The shows convince through their sophisticated storytelling, extraordinary characters and settings as well as their unique aesthetics. Meanwhile, German market players are challenged to develop their own ambitious products, not the least by trying to directly import “know how” about US series to Germany. The Cologne Conference gives an overview of current productions and invites internationally renowned screenwriters and producers of TV series to talk about their work and new projects.
