A whole block of Stockholm’s inner city is reduced to rubble in a terror attack with a boat loaded with explosives. Its target: a meeting of international heads of government who have been invited by Swedish prime minister Rolf G. Johansson. The host survives and assembles members of his government and of the opposition in a subterranean bunker. Their objective is to set up a commission to investigate what is behind the deed. But even in this state of national emergency, plotting and intrigue between the factions never cease. The Swedish TV series’ pilot episode alternates between a war room drama staged as an intimate play and shockingly realistic images of a devastated metropolis.
