Michael Scofield robs a bank, not for the money, but to get into jail as fast as possible. His brother, who is thought to have killed the Vice President’s brother, is already an inmate there. Michael intends to free him from death row by executing a plan he has tattooed on his body. This US series marries motifs of prison films like "Escape from Alcatraz" and "The Shawshank Redemption" with the complex narrative strategies of innovative series such as "24". The pilot episode was directed by Brett Ratner, whose third part of the "X-Men" saga is due for release in cinemas worldwide at the end of May.
