A mysterious suicide case gives Inspector Tom Monroe a lead on a series of deaths, which began with the murder of a little girl in 1976. Other students from her class have since lost their lives as well, seemingly in a string of
coincidences, but Monroe suspects there is a connection. The dark made-for-television movie’s appeal lies in leaving open for a long time whether it will develop into a psychological thriller or a shocking horror story. Inspector Monroe, a man consumed by guilt, is played by Ex-Bond villain Robert Carlyle, who alternates between toughness and vulnerability in this role.
