Gideon seems to have done everything right: born the son of a Polish chauffeur, he has made his way to becoming the most sought-after PR czar in all of England. But these days, he can’t concentrate on his work any more. When he meets a till girl who has lost her son in a tragic accident, he starts missing even major business appointments. Is that because he is afraid of losing his child, too? His alienated daughter is threatening to leave him. With inimitable quiet intensity, Bill Nighy plays the lonesome father in this BBC family drama set in the summer of 1997, when Princess Diana was driven to her death and New Labour took power following 18 years of Tory rule.
