Crosty wants to go to Spain. Ana would prefer to stay in her own country to try to get something going there. Mono thinks life in any other country would be nicer. Diego is only interested in gals, and Flavia, the youngest of them all, is in love with him. They all live in a residential area in suburban Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay. What can you do anyway when you’re sixteen and a student, and have no money, but plenty of time on your hands? The three months of summer break extend forever, and the future seems far off in the distance. They hang out, stray about, talk and smoke dope, but at the end of school vacation, the future has drawn a bit closer: one goes to jail, one goes away from home, and the first day of school is not as it should be.
