Even puppets need love – or at least sex. Mervin doesn’t have either; he’s a pathological practitioner of self-abuse, blessed with a criminally low gray cell count to boot. The search for an appropriate (human) partner leads him and his friends from one debacle to the next. "Fur TV" is no-holds-barred soft-toy adult comedy – a format that clearly has its origins in a BBC ‘Greenlight’ competition where the entrants have carte blanche to ignore the usual code of
conduct of the national broadcasting institution. The permissive puppets were honored with the Pilot Award at the 2004 Golden Rose.
