Orphans from Belarus take a 40-day vacation in Italy, staying with families. It is 40 days of normality in a life without hope. But the result of the project is far removed from reality. Always on the same level with the children, Emma Rossi-Landi investigates the cracks that emerge when adults and children from completely different cultures try to play at everyday life. With a lot of humor and penetrating insight, she lays bare the difficulties of intercultural dialogue and shows the point where good will ends and prejudices begin.
