Selected Filmography Oeke Hoogendijk: De wereld volgens dummer - Het archief, 1997; Een gelukkige tijd - het verhaal van de Barneveldjoden, 1998.
As the gas chambers of Auschwitz begin to decay and the last eyewitnesses of the mass murder have reached a Biblical age, the dictate to “never forget” challenges a global network of event specialists and curators. Oeke Hoogendijk visited three memorial museums - in LA, Washington, DC and Auschwitz itself - to see what the culture of remembrance looks like 60 years after the holocaust. She manages to pull off the feat of moving from the elegiac quiet of the real former concentration camp to the hectic bustle of Washington’s Shoah shop of horrors, capturing the unique atmosphere of each location in beautifully photographed images.
