17 year old Johanna has her mind set on one thing: studying fashion design in Paris. Looking for a way to finance her dream, she takes a job in her biological father’s Turkish restaurant, without him knowing, at first, who she is. Increasingly angry about her mother’s life of deception and her own helplessness, Johanna becomes torn between the search for identity, exalted goals and first love. “Karamuk” is Sülbyie V. Günar’s first full-length film - she studied at the DFFB Berlin.
