In April 1945, shortly before the arrival of the advancing American troops, a train carrying starving concentration camp prisoners stops in a Swabian village. Everyone hears their cries but at first, no one is prepared to come to their aid. Only young Anna realizes that she must take action. The film, based on an historical event, won awards such as the “Bayerischer Filmpreis” and the “Prix Europa” and also had a cinematic release.
