The terms “staged politics” and “politainment” do not sufficiently grasp the profound changes taking place in the relationship between politics and media. What is emerging is a multi-layered and paradoxical network of conditions and relationships that have not been described appropriately by political or media theorists.
This seminar, held in cooperation with the State Media Authority North Rhine-Westphalia and the Adolf Grimme Institute, explores this development.
