Three women on Berlin in their mid-40s to late-50s: Ingeborg is lonely and is looking for a husband and a new job; Gisela is the clown of the cleaning team and has a husband who likes to clean even more than she does; Delia is a painter from Argentina who cleans the flats of well-heeled Berliners. This documentary film takes a loving look at the daily lives of three "big-city heroines". "Der Glanz von Berlin" is the second film by the young autodidacts Antje Kruska and Judith Keil. They made their debut with the documentary "Ausfahrt Ost" (Exit East), also in cooperation with Das kleine Fernsehspiel.
