The "Screenplay Market" has established itself as a market to exchange written material for the German film industry. The market offers producers and editors a qualified selection of authors who present their script material, guaranteeing, as well, that the new material has not been published yet.
The participants will find a selected and outstanding range of new and professional material for scripts, which has been pre-selected by a qualified jury. Furthermore, authors can be met at the "Screenplay market" in a relaxed atmosphere, allowing exciting and profound discussions.
The format for TV movies will be presented on June 27th within the scope of the Cologne Conference in Cologne, and the format for cinema movies will be presented on Oktober 6th during the “script!FORUM” in Berlin.
This year, once again, the "Screenplay Market" will be presented by KunstSalon e.V., in cooperation with Filmboard Berlin-Brandenburg GmbH. Deutsche Bank, Zürich Aggrippina VersicherungsAG and the city of Cologne support the event financially.
According to KunstSalon’s concept, the "Screenplay Market" is a logical step in supporting authors. Just as the "Deutsche Drehbuchpreis KunstSalon" (German Scriptwriting Prize KunstSalon, in cooperation with Filmboard Berlin-Brandenburg GmbH, as well as the German Federal Film Board) is an internationally valid and acknowledged training support for young authors, the "Screenplay Market" promotes a network between authors, producers and editors. It therefore contributes significantly to a more effective and professional way of working in the German film sector.
