What would happen if there was a formula to calculate stock prices? Speculation without risk: generations of mathematicians had been toiling away on the dream of striking it rich. In the early 90ies, Myron Scholes and Bob Merton made what they thought was the final breakthrough, one which would later win them the Nobel Prize. Within a short period of time, they have made billions. However, the whole thing had a catch.
