Tim and Daisy are slackers in every sense of the word: 20-somethings with no plans and no roof over their heads, brought together by necessity because only as a couple can they find an apartment. So much for the formula sitcom setting. Here it is all accompanied by panicky flashbacks, weirdly cut scenes and a whole cabinet full of freaks and crackpots the like of which no one could have created in their wildest dreams. Basically, "Spaced" defines a new subgenre, the "slackcom" –, and mixes and matches the whole thing with an opulent flood of references from all kinds of splatter, horror and comic cosmos. And the best is yet to come! Funny enough to scream at.
