The "Wilkomirski case" went through the social pages all over the world: his book "Fragments. A Childhood from 1939 to 1948", in which he describes his memories Nazi concentration camps, was a worldwide best-seller. It was translated into twelve languages and served as the basis for three films. But then the story of Swiss author Daniel Ganzfried, plausible in itself, was just as plausibly refuted. Is Wilkomirski a swindler who was able to take in even highly placed representatives of the Jewish community? Is the figure of "Wilkomirski" just the "product of a creative act" (Ganzfried)? Olgiati’s film reconstructs the unheard-of plot and gives all those involved a chance to have their say. It also airs the secret behind the case.
