“Hot and sexy”, the press raved, “the ultimate program about sex and women in the 90ies.” Well, so says the latest series hype from the U.S. Can women be just as loose about sex as men? And what is a modelizer anyway? For her newspaper column, journalist Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) delves into Manhattan’s sex life with a couple of her successful girlfriends. And they are also not averse to a few tests on the object. Lively, talkative big-city behavior, borderline neurotic, produced by Darren Star (“Beverly Hills 90210”, “Melrose Place”). “Sex and the City” – superficial and glossy – became a media favorite right off the bat in the U.S. and U.K.. It was directed by Susan Seidelman (“Desperately Seeking Susan”).
