Pierre, a nightclub and fitness centre owner whose would-be bride has taken off just before the wedding with all of his money, sends off his friend Luigi, a lawyer with a shady past, to catch the girl and bring back his money. As he follows her through France, Luigi finds her a woman who rejects all advances from men and whose sexual favours are only to be had for money. In Laetitia Masson’s second film, the protagonists are once again restless and dislocated and have trouble allowing themselves to feel anything for other people – for fear of becoming dependent and forfeiting their unequivocal claim to autonomy. This film forms, together with her first feature En avoir (ou pas) and her new project Only You, a trilogy about work, money and love.
