Selected Filmorgaphy: The South Bank Show on Steven Brochco was Simon Cherry's first as Producer/Director. He previously worked as Associate Producer or Reseracher on South Bank Show subjects as varied as David Mamet, Jonathan Miller, Victoria Wood, Billy Connolly, Eric Wood and others. He also developped and produced LWT's weekly theater programme "Theatreland".

Steven Bochco's sweeping camera work and multiple storylines have had a huge impact on contemporary television drama. "Hill Street Blues" and "LA Law" rewrote the TV rule book in the 1980's. More recently, devotees have been hooked to "NYPD Blue" and "Murder One". In this South Bank Show, "King of Prime Time" Bochco talks about fame, flops, success and persevering in spite of the constraints - both moral and financial - which the American networks impose on television producers today.
