Based on his own experiences, director John L'Ecuyer takes the viewer into the inner world of the heroin addict, starting with his own introduction to the Montreal drug scene, through to treatment and the start of a new life in Toronto. "Confessions" reconstructs a seven-year nightmare and offers a compassionate look at life on the street. However terrifying the picture, it is strong evidence that help for the addict is available and can be effective.
