Götz George plays armsdealer Johann Neudorf, a German-Czech immigrant to Argentina. Decades after his parents were carted off by the SS, Neudorf is once again caught in a political nightmare: His daughter, active in the underground opposition movement, is abducted and killed by military régime hitmen. His grandchild, born in captivity, is also kidnapped. After the fall of the dictatorship Neudorf vents his agony in a solitary, bitter act of revenge. The film makes a strong statement about the impact of a despotic system on an individual human life.
