Autumn, 1977. The RAF kidnapping of employers association president Hanns-Martin Schleyer on September 5, and the highjacking of passenger flight "Landshut" to Mogadischu by a Palestinian terror gang on October 13 kept all of Germany on the jump for six weeks - a chapter of recent German history that has never been treated exhaustively. Using his characteristic technic of mixing fictitious scenes with archive material and accounts by contemporary witness director Heinrich Breloer resurrects the memory of the events of those dramatic 45 days in his two-part films "Todesspiel".
